The Genetic Engineering and Approval Committee, in its meeting on April 4^th, 2006, granted approval to Nath Seeds for commercialization of NCEH-6 (Bt-Bharati) for the North Zone and NCEH-2R (Bt-Vishwanath) for the Central Zone. The approval marked the culmination of our decade-long efforts and commitment to provide an alternative to the Indian cotton farmers for Bt technology in India. And yet, it is just the beginning of a new era and commitment to bring the cutting-edge technologies to the service of our vast farming community.
